Precision Electrical & Air has successfully completed the installation of dual air conditioning systems at a residential property in Tarragindi. This project involved the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level, along with a Daikin high-wall split system located in the downstairs living room.

Precision Electrical & Air performed a meticulous installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was carefully positioned within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall, utilising rubber feet to enhance stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were expertly concealed within ductwork as they exited the ceiling space.

To guarantee efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray, leading to the external gutter. This comprehensive setup included the precise placement of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also fitted in the upstairs hallway to optimise the system’s airflow.

An independent electrical sub-circuit was established, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently positioned next to the condenser. A MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed in the upstairs hallway, allowing for intuitive temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with exceptional attention to detail. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were incorporated to connect the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser also mounted on rubber feet to ensure operational stability.

A dedicated electrical circuit was created from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was positioned beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, enabling effective drainage. Following the installation, the system underwent thorough commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
